Tell Packlane the trip type, the climate you expect, the length, rain, and whether you'll have laundry — it generates a list with sane quantities that scale with the trip and never suggest a scarf for a hot beach week. Or start from a template or a blank list.
Group items into carry-on, checked, or a backpack, and assign anything to a bag in a couple of taps — including bulk-assigning a whole category at once. Filter the packing list down to a single bag, and jot a bag's weight as a personal reference if you want to.
Add travelers and bags with age bands — baby, toddler, child, teen. Dependents get age-appropriate items in the right quantities (diapers per day by age, two swimsuits because one's always wet). Assign any item to a person or bag and filter the list per traveler.
Before you head home, flip into return mode and check everything back into the suitcase — so the charger doesn't stay plugged in at the hotel and the adapter comes home with you. No other packing app does this.
No account, no server, no network needed anywhere. An optional live-weather layer can add a forecast strip and rain suggestions, but if it's off or unavailable the offline climate model just takes over — delete it and nothing breaks.
Render a clean two-column checklist to PDF for printing or AirDrop, export a plain JSON backup you own and can restore on any device, and share a story-ready recap of your finished list — all generated on your device.
