You can generate a smart list from the trip type, the climate you expect, the trip length, rain, and whether laundry is available — Packlane scales quantities to the trip and gates items by climate. You can also start from a built-in or saved template, or from a completely blank list.
Yes. Create bags — carry-on, checked, or a backpack — and assign any item to one in a couple of taps, including bulk-assigning a whole category at once. You can filter the packing list down to a single bag, and note each bag's weight as a personal reference. It all works offline, with no account.
Yes. Packlane is offline-first: creating lists, checking bags, and packing all work with no signal. An optional live-weather layer can add a forecast and rain suggestions when you're online, but it's not required and falls back to the offline climate model automatically.
Yes. Add travelers and bags with age bands — baby, toddler, child, and teen. Dependents get age-appropriate items with computed quantities, and you can assign any item to a specific person or bag and filter the list per traveler. Family packing is part of the premium plan.
Blank and manual lists are free forever. Smart and template lists generate for free and stay fully visible, and you can check off the first few items before Premium unlocks the rest — the paywall appears mid-packing, not before you've seen the list. Premium is a weekly or monthly subscription. Your items are never hidden and unchecking always works.
